I attended a Cerulium Corporation (cerulium.com), Teradata training class taught by Steve Wilmes.

Steve did a great job and here are some of my observations:

Steve possesses immense subject matter knowledge while maintaining the ability to keep you engaged and learning (instead of drifting off into la-la land). Often times the tradeoff for having an instructor who is so knowledgeable is that they either tend to be a bit boring, or lack the ability to communicate in more laymen's terms when needed, and or the ability to teach to people of varying levels of experience at the same time.

Steve was helpful far beyond the course curriculum. Not only with other technical questions/issues but due to his long relationship with the company (I work for), he was (and still is) able to put employees in touch with others in the company they need to find/work-with (for various purposes).

Beyond keeping me engaged by not being boring at all; I could see that he had a real passion/interest in what he was teaching. That type of energy not only makes a course more interesting for me, but I feel I'm able to absorb/retain even more as a result of it.

He was very punctual as well, but I would expect that from a professional.

I do not want to speak for the others in the class, but I will say that "all" the comments that were openly discussed among the attendees after the training were positive.
